§ 70-4-106. Assisting Board of Education in performance of its duties, functions and responsibilities.

  • The State Board of Education shall have the authority to require the county superintendent of schools to assist the Board in the performance and discharge of any of its duties, functions and responsibilities in the county for which the county superintendent of schools shall have been elected or appointed; and state funds for supplementing the salary payable to the county superintendent of schools may be withheld if he fails or refuses to give such assistance upon proper request.
